Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Clawir (“Clawir,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, submit forms, communicate with us, purchase services, or use custom-built systems, integrations, or hardware we deliver (collectively, the “Service”). It also explains your choices and rights.
We collect only what we reasonably need to operate the business, deliver what you purchased, keep accounts secure, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service. If you are a business customer, this policy supplements any data processing terms in your order or separate agreement with us.
1.Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
(a) Information you provide
When you inquire about Clawir, book a call, complete onboarding, or correspond with us, we may collect identifiers and contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, role, billing address, and payment-related information processed by our payment partners.
We also collect content you submit to us, such as answers in forms, project requirements, credentials or connection details for authorized integrations (which should be shared only through secure channels we specify), and support messages.
(b) Automatically collected data
When you use our website or certain Service components, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including internet protocol (IP) address, device type, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, general location derived from IP address, pages viewed, and approximate time spent on pages.
We may use logs, cookies, and similar technologies for security, preferences, and analytics as described in Section 8.
2.How We Use Information
We use personal information for purposes including:
- Providing, delivering, and supporting the Service, including custom builds, integrations, onboarding, and troubleshooting.
- Communicating about your project, billing, security notices, and policy updates.
- Processing payments and fulfilling orders, including coordinating hardware shipment where applicable.
- Securing the Service, detecting fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access, and enforcing our Terms.
- Improving our offerings through analytics, research, and quality assurance, including in aggregated or de-identified form where possible.
- Complying with legal obligations, responding to lawful requests, and protecting our rights and those of our users.
We process information as necessary to perform our contract with you, based on our legitimate interests (balanced against your rights), or with your consent where required.
3.Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances below:
Service providers
We use vendors for hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support tooling, security, and payment processing. These providers access information only to perform services for us under written terms that require appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
Integrations you authorize
To deliver the Service, we may exchange data with third-party platforms (such as email, calendar, or CRM systems) when you direct us to connect them or provide credentials. Those third parties process data under their own policies.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Clawir, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice as required by law.
4.Third-Party Integrations
Clawir is designed to connect with external services you already use. Those services are independent controllers or processors of your data. Their collection, use, and retention of your information are governed solely by their privacy policies and your agreements with them.
We are not responsible for the practices, outages, or policy changes of third-party platforms. Before connecting a tool, review how that vendor handles data and whether the integration fits your compliance needs (for example, healthcare, finance, or children's data regimes, if applicable to you).
5.Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate for the Service, secure development practices, and limited internal access on a need-to-know basis.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You share information at your own risk in the abstract sense that all digital systems carry residual risk. If we become aware of a breach that affects you and requires notification under applicable law, we will follow legally required procedures.
6.Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the data and whether you remain an active customer.
You may request deletion of certain information as described in Section 7. Deletion may be limited where we must retain records for legitimate legal or operational reasons. Some information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before automatic overwrite.
7.User Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain U.S. states may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
To exercise rights, contact support@clawir.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests. You may have the right to appeal our response as provided by law, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights granted by applicable law.
8.Cookies / Tracking
We and our analytics partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand how visitors use our site, and measure campaign performance.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may limit certain features (for example, staying signed in or remembering choices). Our site may respect browser-based global privacy control signals where required by applicable law.
9.Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly where required by law.
Commercial customers should use the Service for business purposes; if you are under eighteen (18), do not submit personal information except through a parent, guardian, or authorized business representative as permitted by law.
10.Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in law, our practices, or the Service. When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent.
